Dear Students, Staff, and Families of Harbor Heights Elementary, Hello, I hope you are enjoying the summer break. It is with great excitement and honor that I introduce myself as the new principal of Harbor Heights Elementary school. This will be my 20th year in education where I have held many roles. I have had the privilege to serve as an elementary teacher, Dean of Students at Artondale Elementary and most recently Deputy Principal at Purdy Elementary. I am most thrilled to be back at Harbor Heights where I started in the Peninsula School District twelve years ago. First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the warm welcome I have received from everyone. Harbor Heights has a wonderful reputation for its dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive community, and I am thrilled to become a part of this exceptional family. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I am committed to building on the strong foundation already in place. Together, we will continue to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential. I believe in the power of collaboration, and I look forward to working closely with our talented staff, engaged families, and, most importantly, our incredible students. Communication and partnership are key elements in fostering a successful educational experience. My door is always open, and I encourage you to share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback with me. By working together, we can ensure that Harbor Heights Elementary remains a place where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for entrusting me with this significant responsibility. I am eager to embark on this journey with you and look forward to an amazing year ahead. Warmest regards, Ryan Heistand Principal Harbor Heights Elementary School |
